A fermented Chinese tea that is one of six types of tea but is close to black tea in its level of caffeine. It has a unique peaty aroma when steeped and has a soft but slightly sweet character in the cup. Enjoy black. Pu’erh is often pressed – this is a mini bowl or nest which breaks apart when steeped. Remove the paper wrapping before steeping.
