Sumatran Dark
A Bridgehead classic - this coffee is produced by various smallholder farmers near Lake Tawar in Aceh, Sumatra.
It is the lightest of our dark roasts, offering ample roasting character but not enough to cover the unique, full and earthy flavours of Sumatran wet-hulled coffees.

Taste | Moderate bitters due to dark roasting this coffee relatively less intensely than our other darks, giving the cup a good amount of bite without it taking centre stage. As this is a dark roast there is very low sweetness and no acidity. |
Aromas | Rich baking spices, dark chocolate and earthly loam make for an intense and complex profile. |
