This is our fourth consecutive harvest buying excellent coffee from COMEPCAFE (La Cooperativa Multiétnica Y Pluricultural De Pequeños Caficultores Del Cauca) in Piendamó, Cauca.
This coffee is produced at relatively high altitudes (1200-1600 MASL) by small farmers using traditional wet processing methods. These farmers excel at maintaining healthy trees, picking ripe cherries and carefully processing their harvested seeds to deliver a coffee that is markedly better tasting than most Colombian offerings. It always stands out in body, sweetness and balance and delivers a tasty and crowd-pleasing profile that is typical of medium roasts (chocolate, caramel) but is very unusual in its entirely pleasant and harmonious flavour.
Tasting notes: Chocolate, vanilla, toasted marshmallow
Region: Piendamó, Cauca
Elevation: 1400 - 2000 metres above sea level
