Why It's Exceptional
This coffee comes from a very successful cooperative of smallholders with a proven tack record of improving economic opportunities for farmers through very strong quality control and excellent management. The quality in the cup is distinct and flavourful, true to the reputation of Sumatran wet-hulled coffee.

What It Tastes Like
Moderate bitters due to dark roasting this coffee relatively less intensely than our other darks, giving the cup a good amount of bite without it taking centre stage. As this is a dark roast there is very low sweetness and no acidity.
Taste
Aromas Rich baking spices, dark chocolate and earthly loam make for an intense and complex profile.
Body Very full for an African coffee with a lovely smooth texture.
