Bridgehead is committed to handling your personal information in a manner that respects your privacy. This Privacy Statement, as amended from time to time, describes that commitment and the manner in which we collect, use and disclose your personal information
What type of information does Bridgehead collect?
“Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual as described under Canadian privacy laws.
If you are a customer, Bridgehead may collect the following personal information: name, delivery address, phone number, email address, and financial account information, such as credit card number and other payment information.
We may also collect additional information about you in certain circumstances, such as:
- If you create an account on our website or the Bridgehead Reward app or if you register for a Bridgehead Rewards card, we collect your username, password, mailing address and email address. You may voluntarily provide us with your birthday and phone number.
- If you are a Bridgehead Rewards program account holder, we will link your personal information to your purchase activity made using all registered Bridgehead Rewards cards and eCards.
- If you use the Bridgehead Rewards app, we collect personal information such as your device ID, your location and the Bridgehead stores near you and those you have visited.
- When you visit our website, we may automatically collect website use information. This information may include information about your internet service provider, your operating system, browser type, domain name, internet protocol (IP) address, your access times, the website that referred you to us, the pages you request, and the date and time of those requests.
We also collect, use, and share aggregated and anonymized data to analyze and improve our business. Aggregated or anonymized data is not considered personal information because it cannot be used to identify you, either alone or in combination with other information.
What type of personal information does Bridgehead collect from third parties?
We may occasionally collect personal information about you from other sources that help us analyze, update, expand our records and identify new customers (e.g., updated contact information or demographic information about you). Bridgehead uses this information to improve our ability to contact you and increase the relevance of our marketing to you. The third party companies must follow Canadian privacy laws and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation when collecting your personal information and sharing it with Bridgehead.
How is this personal information used?
Bridgehead may use personal information about you to:
- Process payments and manage your use of Bridgehead products and services, including your Bridgehead Rewards accounts and program participation;
- Prevent fraud and protect the security of your information, accounts and transactions with Bridgehead;
- Communicate with you about your orders, subscriptions or purchases, your services, Bridgehead Rewards accounts and program participation, a contest you have entered, and your inquiries or requests for information;
- If you choose to sign up for our emails or text messages, we may send you updates about products, offers and other promotional programs;
- Administer our promotions, sweepstakes and contests; and
- Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our operations, products, services and programs.
Bridgehead may also use your personal information for other purposes that you consent to from time to time, or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
Does Bridgehead use cookies?
We may use first- and third-party cookies or other similar technologies such as web beacons to collect information about your use of our website or Bridgehead Rewards app. Cookies are small data files that are sent from a website’s server and are stored on your device’s hard drive either for the duration of your visit (“session cookies”) or for a fixed period (“persistent cookies”).
Cookies and similar technologies help us to improve our website and Bridgehead Rewards app and your browsing experience. We use cookies to see which areas and features are popular and to count visits to our site or app. We may use this information to personalize your visit to our website or app or to send you relevant promotions and advertisements, as described below.
You have a variety of tools to control the information collected by cookies and similar technologies when you use our website or Bridgehead Rewards app. For example, you can use controls in your internet browser to limit how the websites you visit are able to use cookies and to withdraw your consent by clearing or blocking cookies. Does Bridgehead use social media plug-ins?
We have installed various social media plug-in protocols on our website, such as a Facebook “Like” button, which allow you to share your likes and interests in Bridgehead’s products, services and promotions with your friends and contacts. When you click on a social media plug-in protocol link while on our website, such as the “Like” button, a link to our website may appear in the “Likes and Interests” section of your Facebook or other social media profiles.
Depending on your social media privacy preferences, your friends, contacts, or other individuals or organizations may be able to see the link and be led back to our website if they share your likes and interests or if they are interested in learning more about our products, services and promotions.
When you use a social media plug-in protocol link from our website, we may use information about your likes and interests in connection with the marketing and promotion of our business.

Does Bridgehead engage in interest-based advertising?
We, or our third-party service providers, use information about your browsing behaviour to help predict your preferences and provide you with Bridgehead-related advertisements that are more relevant to you on our website, Bridgehead Rewards app or third-party websites.
You have a variety of options to manage your preferences for interest-based advertising. If you opt out of interest-based advertising, you may still receive online advertising from Bridgehead, but it won’t be tailored to your preferences. You may need to change your preferences on each of your browsers or devices.
- You may be able to use the controls in your internet browser to opt out of interest-based advertising. In your browser settings, select the app in question and turn off “Allow Tracking”.
- We use a variety of Google Analytics Advertising Features to assist us with interest-based advertising and to evaluate the use of our website and our marketing efforts, including the following:
- Remarketing features, which connect user activity collected through cookies with the Google Ads network for remarketing purposes.
- Reporting features, which allow us to measure the impact of our advertising and to gather information about the demographics and interests of our users.
- Audience features, which allow us to reach new customers who may be interested in our products.
- User ID and signal features, which allow us to track user sessions and device IDs and to generate cross-device user reports.

- Many companies that collect information for interest-based advertising are members of the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI). The DAA and the NAI maintain websites where consumers can opt out of interest-based advertising from their members. - Some search engines and social media platforms that display our interest-based advertisements (e.g., Facebook) offer their own opt-outs. Please visit those sites and platforms for more information.
Does Bridgehead share personal information with third parties?
We generally identify to whom, and for what purposes, we will disclose your personal information (and we obtain your consent to such disclosure) at the time we collect your personal information.
If you participate in any blog or other online forum on our website, any personal information that you post can be shared with site visitors.
We may disclose specific information (i) upon lawful request, in response to legal process, and when required to comply with laws, (ii) to enforce our agreements, corporate policies, and terms of use (iii) to protect the rights, property or safety of Bridgehead, our employees, agents, customers, and others, or (iv) in the event of any significant business transaction, such as a merger or reorganization.
Bridgehead does not sell personal information, including contact information, to third parties. We will not otherwise provide personal information to third parties for commercial use, except as described above or to enable us to provide requested services to you.
Bridgehead may transfer certain personal information with companies that provide support services to us (such as credit card processors, mailing houses or website hosts) when and as necessary to enable/facilitate Bridgehead to provide you with our products and services in a convenient and cost effective manner. These companies may use information about you to perform their functions on our behalf. If we transfer your personal information to a service provider, we require that they maintain the confidentiality of your personal information and keep it secure. We also require that our service providers comply with applicable privacy laws and only use your personal information for the limited purposes for which it is provided. Bridgehead has no control over third party sites and resources and Bridgehead is not responsible for and does not endorse such sites and resources.
How does Bridgehead retain and store personal information?
We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, and as permitted or required by law.
We may transfer your personal information outside of Canada to fulfil the purpose for which we collected it, including for processing and storage by service providers. While your personal information is outside of Canada, it is subject to the laws of the country in which it is located, which may have different data protection laws than Canada. Those laws may require disclosure of your personal information to authorities in that country. Third-party websites and services
Bridgehead may provide links to third-party websites for your convenience and information. We may also make opportunities available to you to purchase, subscribe to, or use other products or services from third parties with different privacy practices. Those other websites, products, or services are governed by the privacy statements and policies of the respective third party, which we encourage you to review prior to use them.
Bridgehead has no control over the privacy practices of third party sites and resources and Bridgehead is not responsible for and does not endorse such sites and resources.
How is my personal information kept secure?
Bridgehead takes reasonable steps to maintain appropriate physical, technical and administrative security to help prevent loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure or modification of personal information. While we take these reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information, no system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
We may also require that you assist us in safeguarding your personal information. For example, if you create a Bridgehead Rewards account, you should use a unique and strong passwords and not share your password with others.

What are my privacy rights?
If you wish to withdraw your consent to our collection, use or disclosure of your personal information, please contact us using the contact information in the “Questions and Comments” section below. We will accommodate your request to withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawal of your consent may mean that we will no longer be able to provide you with certain products or services.
You may make a request to review any personal information about you that we have collected, used, or disclosed, and we will provide you with any such personal information to the extent required by applicable laws.
You may also challenge the accuracy or completeness of your personal information in our records. If you demonstrate that your personal information in our records is inaccurate or incomplete, we will amend your personal information as required.
We may require that you provide sufficient identification to fulfill your request to access or correct your personal information. Any such identifying information will be used only for this purpose. We will not charge you any fees to access your personal information in our records without first providing you with an estimate of the approximate fees, if any.
How can I opt out of receiving marketing communications?
If you no longer want to receive emails or text messages from us about our products, offers and other promotional programs, you may opt out at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email you receive from us, by replying “STOP” to a text message you receive from us, or by contacting us directly using the contact information in the “How to Contact Us” section below.
